Thousands of people arrive in Waikiki during the winter months. Oahu beaches are filled with people enjoying the sand, the water, and the sunshine. While Waikiki is often thought of as an area filled with hotels, it is actually a very much also a residential neighborhood filled with condos. Many of Honolulu residents choose this fun neighborhood as their everyday place of residence. Many people also have their second homes (condos) in Waikiki to stay at while visiting the Islands.  The same condos are also often used as vacation rentals in the times when the owners are back on the mainland.

Waikiki Condos

Condos and hotels in Waikiki.

There are many different types of condos in Waikiki. From fee simple to leasehold, and from co-ops to condotels, Waikiki has it all. Condo owners who choose to spend their winters in Waikiki can select the type of property that best works for their lifestyle and needs. If having an income stream is important, while having the flexibility of using the condo anytime during the year, a condotel is a great option. They can typically be rented out on a daily basis, and if managed by the hotel service, they are virtually maintenance free. The Ilikai in Waikiki is a great example of this type of a property. Traditional condos are also good options for anyone who is considering spending their winters in Waikiki. Many of the Waikiki condos can be rented out on a monthly basis. These condos can also be managed by property management companies for easy rental and management of the unit. Second homes are super popular on Oahu, and we have resources here to take care of the properties while owners are off island.
