Why is the Puamana Real Estate Market So Hot?

As I own and live full time in Puamana, neighbors often ask me, “How’s the market?” We have created a market report that illustrates why it’s such a hot market in Lahaina, click here for report. Prices have been ticking upwards as inventory diminishes as more of us have a choice of where to live. And we want to live in Hawaii in a safe oceanfront community!

The majority of Puamana buyers are purchasing homes as their primary residence this year; many moving in with young children. Puamana provides that safe, gated neighborhood with open garden spaces we all want along with a “Main Street,” a clubhouse, beach access, and a community vibe. Puamana is located near good schools and amenities; only a 5-minute bike-ride from Lahaina town. More about Puamana, here.

One of the explanations for the boom in Maui real estate is that this pandemic has shifted not only our workplace choices but also our mindset. Starting May of 2020, when we started seeing people reacting to the Covid-19 lockdowns, I wrote this blog on life lessons learned during Covid, click here. We woke up and realized it is time to fast-track our dreams and start enjoying life now… for instance, hang out on the lanai and play dominoes in the afternoon while watching the rainbows and surfers…

Or catch a few waves in the morning or do some laps in the ocean pool. This is true wealth.

Other fun past-times in Puamana include Pickle Ball, beach ploggingcloud watching, working out in the oceanfront gym, meeting friends for sunset pupus and gardening

Significantly more people are looking to purchase condos in Puamana on a daily basis than we have properties to sell… there are currently only a handful of places for sale in Puamana, click here for active listings

The market started really booming here in September of 2020, read my blogpost here: Puamana September 2020.

I recently published a first quarter update for our homeowner’s newsletter, documenting the brisk sales in Puamana 2021 so far, click here for information.
