Weekend Happenings – November 4

Aloha, friends! This weekend ushers in the Maui County Festival back live this year. Another event that is back live this year is the Arbor Day Garden Expo and Tree giveaway. Both the expo and the tree giveaway are combined on one day this Saturday. And finally on Sunday, enjoy a special brunch at the South Maui Gardens. If you haven’t been, this is a 7-acre sanctuary in the heart of South Kihei and truly a hidden gem.

9th Annual Hawaiian Airlines Made in Maui County Festival at MACC

The Made in Maui County Festival is back and live again this year! Check out food, art, crafts, jewelry, fashion, furniture, gifts, collectibles and more made by our talented local artists and artisans. The festival features over 140 local vendors. Main event happens on Saturday and includes live entertainment, fashion shows and prize giveaways.  Serious shoppers can attend the buyers preview and exclusive shopping day on Friday.

Arbor Day Garden Expo & Tree Giveaway

Celebrate Arbor Day at the Maui Nui Botanical Garden. This year is back live and combines the expo with the tree giveaway to one day on Saturday. There will be tree and plant care lectures, free hands-on Hawaiian cultural activities, conservation organizations, plants for sale, and a giveaway of more than 1,800 Hawaiian trees. This year will celebrate the Ohia lehua tree, with special guest speakers hosting a “Hale Ohia” with activities and games to win free ohia trees and prizes.

Chef’s Brunch at South Maui Gardens

South Maui Gardens is a full-scale plant nursery and community garden space in Kihei. It is home to local favorite food trucks and events like yoga classes, farmer’s market and live music in the beautiful gardens. This Sunday, you can enjoy a special 5 course brunch prepared by 5 of Maui’s most talented chefs.
