Marina Towers – built in 1967 – is among the first condo buildings to be developed in Waikiki. Back then, a good percentage of Oahu residents pondered the question, “Who would want to buy a box of air in the sky?”
Marina Towers lobby
The building was constructed around a hollow center, so the hallways are actually open air. If you have ever stayed in an Embassy Suites, you will recognize this style.
Marina Towers Living Options
The building is one block from 1717 Ala Wai in a prime location at the ocean end of the Ala Wai Canal and consists of mostly 1,000 sq. ft. 2 bedroom/1.5 bath units with 80 sq. ft. lanais. The penthouse 15th floor level has four 2,000 sq. ft. 3 bedroom/2.5 bath units with 160-200 sq. ft. lanais.

The original floor plans on these early vintage condos feature a nice, large living room that flows onto the lanai and view beyond creating a spacious, open feeling. The master bedrooms are also large.
Active Marina Towers Condos
There is currently one active listing, #707, priced at $475K (MLS# 1212333) and two other units that are also on the 7th floor in escrow that were priced at $389K and $465K. You can view more details of these condos and other listings on my Waikiki Condos property gallery.
