Tips for Staying Healthy and Strong

Remaining physically and mentally strong is especially important during times of stress, such as the pandemic we are all dealing with at the moment. On a bright note, with a little more downtime than usual, I’ve had time to discover a number of interesting apps to do just that!

Self Care/Meditation Apps

One of my favorites is Ziva, which offers self-care tools “to help you transition from worrier to warrior” through meditation. Among those tools: guided audios for easing anxiety and boosting immunity, video lessons on powerful mindfulness and meditation techniques, and a special section for kids and parents. Using these tools, I’ve found ways to stress less and to keep performing at the top of my game – I encourage you to check them out!

Headspace is another site that offers a complimentary meditation program – one sample among those offered to those who join, while Creativelive provides free access to health and wellness classes.

Home Workout Apps

And now that our favorite fitness centers and clubs are temporarily closed, there are a number of companies providing free access to online virtual classes. Peloton is offering a 90-day free trial of its App; Nike’s NTC Premium App is now free; Adidas has a 90-day free membership to Runtastic; and through May 1, 2020, DownDog is allowing complimentary access to all Apps (Yoga, HIIT, Barre and 7 minutes).

These are just a handful of resources available as we all stay healthy and safe at home – I’d love to hear about some of your favorites! Email me at the address listed below.

Wishing you all the best as always, and sending much aloha your way.
