The Breakers – Pet-Friendly Condos Steps to the Beach in West Maui

West Maui has a variety of condos for sale. Some new, some old. Some quiet and secluded, some with more of a resort feel. Along the western coast, just to the north of the resorts on Kaanapali Beach, is the neighborhood of Honokowai, which offers a variety of all the above.

Honokowai starts where Lower Honoapiilani Rd., or as the locals call it, “the low road,” begins as it turns off the Honoapiilani Hwy. The low road winds and weaves its way along the coastline of West Maui. In the mornings you’ll find the road is bustling with walkers, joggers, and cyclists. Weather you’re out for exercise or just a morning stroll to the coffee shop or farmers market, all the action has a great community feel.

The Newest Condominium Complex on the Low Road

If you’re looking for a newer complex with resort-like amenities nestled across the street from the beach and within strolling distance to shopping and dining, look no further than The Breakers.

The newest condominium complex on the low road brings it all together just steps away from the beach. The Breakers was an infill project with building starting in 2008 and the first units coming to the market in 2010. It is made up of 5 multi-story buildings of which 3 have been built. The two remaining buildings are, at this point, on hold.

There is a mix of studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units, some single-level and some two-story. Being recently built, they offer energy efficient units, covered/uncovered parking, and a resort-like pool with a rain-like waterfall feature.

Other amenities include a large spa, workout facility with 2 cardio machines and 1 weight machine, 3 BBQ grills and tables to enjoy your culinary creations. It is also one of the few pet-friendly condo complexes on the west side.
