Tastes of Hawaii Recipe – Plantation One Dish Breakfast (For 4-6) From Kauai’s Old Plantation Days

Week 43 – Plantation One Dish Breakfast For 4-6!

Plantation Style Breakfast For 4-6 Recipe

(Also called Breakfast Mess. Easy and Yummy!)

  • 5 Diced, cooked potatoes
  • 2 Bell peppers, sliced in strips
  • 1 Large onion, cut into strips
  • 1 Tbs. season salt
  • 8 Beaten eggs
  • 1 Lbs. sausage, crumbled (I use Jimmy Dean)
  • 2 Cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

In a large frying plan cook sausage until brown. Drain fat. Add onion, pepper strips, potatoes, and seasoning salt. Cook approximately 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender. While vegetables are cooking, preheat broiler. Add eggs and cook until set. Sprinkle cheese on top and put under broiler until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Serve to hungry crowd!

As mentioned in my first recipe blog, Hawaii is a wonderful mix of cultures. Because we have this rich Hawaiian heritage, I started this running blog that features recipes with a Hawaiian flair. If you love collecting recipes, please check back so that you can collect your favorites.

I’ve got to try this recipe, sounds so yummy! I also love to enjoy the yummy views from Anini Vista. I used to go there as a teenager to enjoy the magnificent sunsets before the area was developed. Best wishes!
