Spreckelsville – A Historic Maui Community

Maui’s North Shore is internationally famous and a popular location to live and enjoy the incredible beauty of its coastline. Spreckelsville, is a small enclave community created in 1878 by one of the era’s original sugar barons, Claus Spreckels. And by 1892, Spreckelsville grew to become the largest sugar plantation in the world. The beautiful sandy stretch of approximately 1.9 miles of pristine beach was called Spreckelsville Beach. Today it’s known by different names, including Baby Beach. Residents of Spreckelsville enjoy unsurpassed, fresh ocean air and easy access to remarkable ocean waters. Popular for swimming, paddle-boarding, surfing, snorkeling, and windsurfing, this stretch of coastline offers a variety of entry points and striking views of the West Maui Mountains. The Maui Country Club formally opened in 1927, making it the oldest golf club on the island. The historic clubhouse was completed in 1932 and was renovated in 2009. Residents and visitors enjoy golf, tennis, pickleball, swimming and easy beach access along with all club amenities. Visit the Maui Country Club at: mauicountryclub.org
