Big Island

Privacy, Yard, Pets, Townhouse = Just Listed at Makana Kai 3104

It’s rare to find a condo on the Big Island that allows pets, has an enclosed yard and includes two parking spots. This hidden condo complex is located in Waikoloa, about 20 minutes from the best beaches on the Island.

Waikoloa Village is a popular location on the Big Island for real estate buyers because of its central location. When you live in the Village, you are 25 minutes to Kona, 20 minutes to the resorts and the ocean, 20 minutes to Waimea, and you can easily hop on the Saddle Road over to Hilo. Families may find Waikoloa Village the perfect place to call home because of its location, but there are many other great things about the community.

Location

This home is in a condo complex called Makana Kai at Wehilani, just a short distance from the area’s two shopping centers. That said, the complex is located toward the entrance of Waikoloa Village, so you don’t have to enter the main part of town and deal with any traffic issues that can sometimes surround the shopping centers. It also makes for a shorter distance to the beaches and the drive home.

Downstairs

This condo is a true townhouse, with no one above or below, so you get to enjoy lower noise levels than those in traditional condos. The home’s downstairs comprises the living room, kitchen, dining area, half bathroom, three storage closets, an enclosed laundry area, and a covered lanai. Let’s not forget your private yard, the most special part of this Big Island condo.

Upstairs

The upstairs portion of the condo has all three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It also features a large walk-in closet in the primary bedroom and a linen closet close to the hallway bathroom.

Two Homeowners Associations

When you purchase a condo within Waikoloa Village, you are required to pay dues to two homeowners associations. One of them goes to Waikoloa Village, and the other is for the condo complex in which you are purchasing within Waikoloa Village.

Your HOA dues for Makana Kai cover your water bill, two parking spots, the mail center (community cluster of boxes), trash pickup, complex landscaping, outdoor pest control, and insurance and maintenance for the exterior of the building.

Waikoloa Village Association dues are worth the extra fees because of the amenities provided. With this one, you have access to the community pool, tennis and pickleball courts, golf, discounts at the community restaurant, and more. To learn more about Waikoloa Village, you can view their website at waikoloa.org.

Your Waikoloa Agent

When buying in Waikoloa Village, you want to work with a real estate agent with expertise in this area. The options can be overwhelming, and there are many smaller communities within the broader Waikoloa Village community, each with its own vibe.

I’ve been working with buyers and sellers in the area for many years and can help you locate the home/condo that will be perfect for you. And for sellers, I can help you differentiate your home and connect with that special buyer who desires your home’s features. Send me a message, and we can get started!

Mahalo,
Leeana
