Maui Oceanfront Luxury Living at Wailea Beach Villas

$12,500,000 for a condo? Really? Then again, Wailea Beach Villas is not just any condo property.

Wailea Beach Villas Oceanfront Condos

When Wailea Beach Villas was rolled out in 2006, Wailea’s newest oceanfront resort took the Maui visiting experience to a new level in combining the most appealing attributes of single family living, with the conveniences and resort amenities of a luxury hotel.

Located alongside Wailea Beach, on one of Maui’s most coveted stretches of oceanfront real estate, Wailea Beach Villas encompasses 98 units on 10.74 acres. The property’s southern neighbor, the Grand Wailea, is Maui’s landmark resort hotel, and on the Mauka (mountain, or inland) side sits The Shops at Wailea, South Maui’s fine dining and shopping pinnacle. Wailea’s famed golf courses and tennis club are close by.

And, of course, there are the beaches; in front of the gated beach entrance to the Wailea Beach Villas, one of Maui’s most incredible ocean experience awaits. Fantastic swimming, snorkeling, sunning, paddle boarding, and kayaking – it’s all at the property’s doorstep.

Wailea Beach Villas Amenities

The units span from 1,900 to 3,100 square feet, in 2- and 3-bedroom floor plans. Many have incredible ocean views, and all have large lanais with private gas grills. Property amenities include two pools (one oceanfront) and whirlpool spas, fitness center, business center, and billiards room.

All units have central AC, well equipped kitchens, and state of the art electronics and appliances. Twice-daily maid service is standard, and a concierge and front desk assist with logistics, beach service, and other guest needs.

Directly next door to the property, a pedestrian gate accesses a multitude of dining options at the Shops at Wailea. A pathway meanders through rich, lush vegetation, to the beach and an adjacent walking path that winds through Wailea. The property has become the ultimate south shore address in Wailea luxury condos.

Investment Options at Wailea Beach Villas

Wailea Beach Villas is zoned for short term rentals, giving its owners unlimited options depending on their investment strategy. Some owners live at WBV full time, while more use their villas for a few weeks or months of the year and rent it the rest of the time.

Several management companies handle short term rentals for Wailea Beach Villas owners, and the property does phenomenally well – it’s rated number one on Trip Advisor for “Specialty Accommodations.”

Wailea Beach Villas Listings

Nine units are listed at Wailea Beach Villas, from $2.3 million to $10,950,000 (Unit B-101, MLS# 354283). Wailea Beach Villas has the distinction of the most expensive condo ever sold on Maui. In May, 2010, Unit A-202 sold for $12,500,000 cash.

Five currently listed are at $2.3 to $3.3M. Six of the nine are in the Penthouse Building, the furthermost from the ocean, and the property’s tallest structure with five stories. Individual villas terrace toward the ocean, and B-101 is front-line. Ground floor units have their own private splash pools.

Three units were sold in 2012:

  • C-301 closed at $4,500,000 in April, 2012
  • PH 408 sold at $5,992,000 in May, 2012

Yes I would say that Wailea Beach Villas is the best of the best. Even if someone did not want to shell out $10,000,000 for a unit, there are some great buys in the $2,000,000 to $3,000,000 range to get you into this great luxury resort.
