Happy Aloha Friday! It’s officially summer on Maui. The kids are out of school, Canoe Paddling Regatta season is under way, and Maui Agfest is back this year to kick it all off. We also have some theatrical performances as well as some live music happening this weekend on Maui. It’s really so nice to have more events coming back to Maui. I hope to see you out there. An opportunity to learn about agricultural issues and their impact on our day-to-day lives

After 2 years off for the pandemic, we are so happy that the Maui AgFest is being held again this year.

The entire industry, its allies, and supporters come together to share what each group does for the collective good of agriculture in the County, and to showcase agriculture’s vital role in the economy, environment, and lifestyle of Maui.

All the signature events will be back, including the Maui Legacy Farmers Pancake Breakfast, Grand Taste, Keiki Zone, Maui 4-H Livestock Show and Auction, Grown on Maui Farmers’ Market, Ag Education, and food booths/food trucks. AgFest is presented for all of Maui to attend to learn more about agriculture, to meet farmers and ranchers and to enjoy Maui’s agriculture history and culture.

Hosted by Maui County Farm Bureau (MCFB) and Maui 4-H Livestock Association in partnership with the County of Maui and the Office of Economic Development, generous sponsors and industry allies.

Jazz Maui Presents First Sunday Jazz Maui Ku’ia Chocolate Tasting

Sunday, June 5, 2022
Maui Ku‘ia Estates

Last week, I told you about the chocolate tastings and tours offered at the Ku’ia Estates in Lahaina. Tastings take place under the cover of a 2,000 square foot pavilion atop the Maui Ku’ia Estate Chocolate Factory. The open-air pavilion lets in a nice breeze and its roof provides protection from both sun and rain. This coming and ever first Sunday of the month, Maui Chocolate tours partners with Jazz Maui to offer live jazz before the tasting. This weekend guests delight to the sounds of keyboardist and trumpeter, Paul January, with special guest trumpeter, Xaden Nishimitsu. This event is BYOB! 🙂 Proceeds benefit Jazz Maui and Arts Education for Children Group.
