Maui Weekly What’s Happening – July 8, 2022

Happy Aloha Friday! I’m just coming back from travel and excited to be back home on Maui and to share what events are coming up this weekend.

This week kicked off the Stardust Cinema at the MACC.

2022 Maui Film Festival: Stardust Cinema

Wednesday, July 6 – Sunday, July 10

Gates open at 5:00 pm and program each night starts at 5:45 pm.

5 nights of 13 Maui premieres on a mini jumbotron under the stars. Kids under 12 get in free! (Up to 2 kids per one paying adult). Bring your blanket or low back beach chair and enjoy a great night with your friends and family.

Food and beverage will be available for purchase from 5:00-10:00 pm on the Amphitheater Lawn each night.

If you’re on the West Side this weekend, stop by the harbor and check out the Hurley Surf Competition. This is a 2-day event with several divisions. Registration open until Sunday at noon if you want to join in the fun.

Race 5 of Regatta Season

This Saturday’s race is sponsored by Laeʻula o Kai and takes off from Kahului Harbor. Get there early. This is an all-day event.
