Community

We are all a big community that respects and helps one another when in need. Here in Kauai, everyone feels like Ohana. Everyone treats the Keiki (kids in Hawaiian) really well. We have Aunties and Uncles always looking out for the children and, of course, everyone respects the Kupuna (elders).

Living in Kauai is an amazing opportunity to learn the real Hawaiian culture and how we have to value and take care of mother earth, each other as well as the land. There are so many family restaurants great for kids and the whole family.

School

Going to school in Kauai is so fun when the playground and the backyard is the nature and you see waterfalls everywhere every day. Very often you get to see some amazing rainbows on your way to school. And wait, there is more, you get to wear slippers to school, how fun is that!?

Playdates

Our playdates are full of excitements in nature like jumping from the pier, fishing, surfing, climbing trees, playing with sand on the beach, and running barefoot on the grass. When is raining we actually play in the rain and often buggy board in the puddles.

Birthdays

Birthday parties, a lot of times, are held at the beaches swimming in the ocean with friends and ending the day with beautiful sunsets and bonfire with s’mores and searching for crabs. Often times when not at the beach we celebrate in special places like Queens Bath, snorkeling, watching dolphins and turtles.

To live in Kauai is one of the luckiest things a child can experience. The soothing waters of the ocean, fresh majestic fruit, amazing hula dancing, and the calm peace of nature are just a few things to name! Surfing and catching barrels are also fun, getting shave ice, ice cream, and acai is delicious. And that’s what makes childhood so special in Kauai.
