Kihei, Maui Foreclosures For The Week of November 21

It was an interesting week in South Maui foreclosures, not so much for what was listed as what was not listed. According to the Asset Managers with whom I spoke, the new Hawaii legislation, Act 48, is beginning to affect the foreclosure inventory. They tell me to expect fewer foreclosure listings in the next year and a growing number of short sales—although, coincidentally, there were no new shorts listed this week.

If you’re considering a short sale or foreclosure purchase, make sure you partner with a buyer’s agent who knows the laws, asset managers, inventory, and properties.

Kevin Spaise, publisher of The Maui Condo Book and Hawaii Life’s Kihei and Wailea Condo Specialist, does a weekly video showcasing the most interesting Kihei and Wailea foreclosures.
