Kihei Akahi – South Maui Condominiums

Kihei Akahi Condominium sare located on the beautiful island of Maui in the beach town of Kihei. The complex consists of two high rise concrete buildings with elevators and two wooden buildings without elevators. The grounds are landscaped with aromatic plumeria trees as well as an array of the most visually pleasing flowers on Maui. There is assigned parking as well as a number of visitor parking spots available at each building.

A variety of studios, one, and two bedroom condos make up the mix of vacation rental condos as well as owner occupied units. For those choosing to do short term rentals there is a front office where your guests can check in. There is a guest check-in fee of $15 if you choose to use their services. Others use lock boxes or electronic keypads for their guests to gain entry. Although many owners have off-site property managers, you can manage the unit yourself using websites like Air BnB and VRBO. Just keep in mind you must have an on island contact should there be any issues.

Kihei Akahi Grounds

Kihei Akahi has two pools, one close to the entrance and one near the top of the complex. There are a couple of tennis courts on the complex as well. Owners also have access to kayak and paddle board storage. Check out this Facebook Group for a video walk through and additional photos here.

West Maui Views from Kihei Akahi

Kihei Akahi is located in the heart of south Maui across from Kamaole Beach 2 and walking distance to some more of the best beaches on the island. There’s world class snorkeling within just a few miles. For all the walkers out there you cannot beat a morning stroll down South Kihei road or along the miles of beaches that stretch north and south form Kihei Akahi’s location. You can watch the sunset from many locations on the property or walk across the street and observe the beauty with your toes in the sand. With some of the best restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the local health food store just a short walk away, you truly do not need to rent a car on shorter stays at the Kihei Akahi.
