Are you leaving the islands? Trading down and simplifying? Are you starting afresh and changing your style? If so, you may have furniture that is no longer suitable or manageable. Perhaps it’s not worth the cost of moving, let alone the hassle. If that’s the case, you’re in luck!
Let me introduce you to Abigail Eli. She serves the homeless on the Waianae Coast. She’s amazing and a true servant. Recently, I sold a home filled with unwanted furniture. The owners weren’t inclined to sell it. They were much more interested in giving it away to someone in need. Enter Pastor Abigail. Abigail is a pastor at her local church, the Waianae Assembly of God, but she’s also busy serving the homeless population on the north west side of Oahu.
Abigail showed up on time with a big crew, most of which was comprised by her children. That’s right — she has 13 in total — seven biological, two adopted, and four hanai kids. Her hearts big enough for all and all are involved in helping those with needs greater than their own.
The process was seamless and very efficient. Everyone was orderly. Respectful. There were smiles all around and everyone involved was satisfied by a job well done. More importantly, the generosity of the Sellers, and the efforts of Abigail and her large ohana, will make a huge difference in the lives of those who are less advantaged. A big difference. Abigail explained that there are families and children sleeping on floors and living out of containers. Families who lack basic necessities and welcome just about anything that will improve their living conditions.
If you want help to move your things and you want to help others, please consider donating to Abigail’s cause. You’ll be glad you did!
