How the Disaster Preparedness App For Your iPhone Helps You as a Hawaii Homeowner

I don’t recall just how I was turned onto this new app for the iPhone, but I wanted to share it with you all. The app is called myMERCI and it is a way to have documentation of both pre and post disaster condition.

Using the Disaster Preparedness App as a Homeowner

How does that play into real estate you may ask? Well, in order to make claims on your homeowner’s insurance policy, you need photos of the condition and contents of your home. This app will allow you to take photos and videos and store it on a secure server (not in your desk drawer or closet) where it will be safe.

The app also allows users to take pics and videos of disasters in real time to be used for first responders. Genius I say! Do you have documentation of the current condition of your home? I don’t and I’m pretty certain most others don’t either. This will save a lot of headaches and grief!
