I live in Kalama Valley and I often get the question, “Where is Kalama Valley in Hawaii Kai?”. Fair question, Hawaii Kai does have many neighborhoods. Each with it’s own uniqueness.
Kalama Valley is the farmost valley in Hawaii Kai. It’s the last valley in Hawaii Kai before Waimanalo. It’s away from the typical hustle and bustle you might experience in the neighborhoods closer to Costco and Safeway. But, still a 10-minute drive to Costco and other restaurants/stores in Hawaii Kai. Convenience without being right in the middle of it.
Some other positives:
- Within walking/biking distance to Sandys Beach
- Hawaii Kai Golf Course is in Kalama Valley’s backyard.
- Hillside homes line the valley which means a ton of privacy
