What’s New at Mauna Lani Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast

Excitement is building at this legendary oceanfront resort – especially among those lucky enough to call it home – as Hawaii’s first luxury Auberge Resorts Collection property is set to debut here late this year. The Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection opens following a $200 million re-design and enhancement project at the former Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows. The resort began taking reservations on Monday, June 17.

Set along Hawaii Island’s renowned Kohala Coast with its spectacular shoreline, luxury homes, fine restaurants, haute shopping, and exceptional ocean and land based sports and activities, the hotel’s enhanced amenities and dining options provide added benefits for guests and homeowners alike, including those property owners at Mauna Lani’s newest residential community Ke Kailani. Among the highlights are three new restaurants bringing the total to five, including the beloved Canoe House. New retail outlets and The Market, a gourmet food store/deli are also being added to the mix. With more than 300 completely renovated rooms and suites, it offers the perfect space for homeowners’ overflow guests.

Just minutes away, the gated, luxury residential community of Ke Kailani is situated on Honokaope Bay in the desirable low-density, south end of Mauna Lani Resort with real estate opportunities including large estate lots, single-family homes and spacious villas. A private oasis for you and your family, Ke Kailani also enjoys close proximity to the nearby Mauna Lani Beach Club, reserved exclusively for resort property owners, as well as The Shops at Mauna Lani with its numerous boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.

Amenities within the Ke Kailani neighborhood include The Grotto which is a community gathering place with infinity pool, two whirlpool spas and two open-air entertainment pavilions.

Hana Pono Park, a 5.5-acre recreation area, is adjacent to the Ke Kailani community with a state-of-the-art fitness center, adult and children swimming pools, barbecue area, and pavilion.
