What to Look For When Buying a Condo at the Pointe at Waikoloa

When buying real estate, everyone has heard that the location is everything, but what other factors should be considered when buying a condo at the Pointe at Waikoloa? Buying a condo with features that are in high demand can greatly contribute to the investment value of a condo.

Units at the Pointe at Waikoloa are rarely offered on the market, but when they are they usually don’t last too long and here are the reasons why:

Condos with Sweeping Ocean and Golf Views

If we compare the Pointe at Waikoloa – located at a 6-mile drive to world class beaches – to some of the gated communities at Waikoloa Beach Resort, the Pointe units offer unrestricted views of the Kohala coastline, the Kohala mountains, and the Waikoloa Village golf course.

From the Fairway Villas at Waikoloa, buyers could have lake and golf views or just golf course views from the Waikoloa Colony Villas.

Condo with Outdoor Living

Outdoor living is synonymous with Hawaii. Large lanais are a very popular feature in these condos, they are covered and open for easy and comfortable indoor/outdoor living. There are also extra large sliding doors that open up for indoor/outdoor living. Buyers will appreciate the quality glazed vinyl windows and sliding doors.

Condo with Indoor Living

All units have 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, each unit has two master bedroom suites. The spacious great room combines living, dining, and entertainment. Top floor units have lofts for use as an office, recreation area, or an additional bedroom.

Condo with 1 Car Garage

Garages may or may not be included with a condo. If family or friends will be visiting by car, the Pointe at Waikoloa ensures that the building has ample guest parking plus a one car garage for each unit.

Condo with Low Maintenance Fees

Buying condos with relatively low maintenance fees (compared to other gated communities situated in Waikoloa Village and/or on the Kohala Coast resorts) is a smart choice as maintenance fees increase over time and are a regular monthly expense. The Pointe at Waikoloa maintenance fees for a 2 bedroom unit with a loft are currently $594/month.

Buying a condo in Waikoloa Village is an exciting but complex endeavor. Condo buyers who choose condo features such as condos with unrestricted views, condos with a 1 car garage, condos with privacy, or condos with low maintenance fees that will contribute to their future enjoyment and their condos real estate value will increase their opportunities of making a wise real estate purchase.

I live, work, and play in Waikoloa Village!

Mahalo Catherine! The Pointe at Waikoloa condos are awesome. this one you’re talking about sure does have a great view! Another thing that comes up with condos is if the Homeowners Asociation allows vacation rentals. Merci’ for all this good info!

Good question about vacation rentals, Annie! At the Pointe at Waikoloa, a unit may not be leased or rented for a term of less than thirty days.

The Pointe is a low key, quiet complex and the views say it all. You can sit on the lanai on New Year’s Eve and see fireworks going off at all the major hotels; it’s really awsome. Anyone interested in serious views and excellent value should think about buying at the Pointe.

Well I guess you were right when you said this new listing wouldn’t last long! Did I ever tell you about the time I had cocktails on the lanai of 208?
