What Grants are Available for First Time Home Buyers in Oahu, Hawaii?

Home Buyers

Are you a first time home buyer, in the military, or do you live in a rural area? Did you know there are several loan programs that require ZERO down. Or you may qualify for a grant to cover your down payment. Hi, I am Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life. I have a special guest with me today. This is Stephanie Safholm with Hawaii VA Loans. This is video #1 of a 3 part series.

Question and Answer

Stephanie, can you tell me what grants are available for first time home buyers?

Thanks, Fawn, There are some exciting programs for first time homebuyers. We currently offer (Hawaii VA Loans) a grant to first time home buyers that provides up to 5% of the loan amount towards the down payment and origination costs. So basically you are just coming in with closing costs.

Thank you, Stephanie. For videos #2  and #3… stay tuned. This is a 3 part series regarding lending and what you may qualify for.
