Ward Village in Kaka’ako: Ae’o and ‘A’ali’i(カカアコのワード・ビレッジのAe’o と ‘A’ali’i )

Nearly a year ago, I was able to help a client purchase a unit in Ae’o, the Kaka’ako condominium boasting the largest Whole Foods in Hawaii. Last week, I attended the home inspection of the unit, scheduled to be handed over next January. Although the building was still technically a “construction zone” complete with blue tape and protective plastic coverings in the residential portions, it was nice — very nice.

The elevators were extremely quick (see elevator hall on 31st floor above), yet you didn’t feel like you were on a roller-coaster (which is appreciated) and in spite of a cloudy day, the view was impressive (below).

Added bonus: you can access Whole Foods without going outside. Convenience? Very much so!

(Yes, I did check it out and bought a breakfast omelette at the food bar.)

While Ae’o is sold out, the next project ‘A’ali’i is still available. With its concept of fully-furnished turn-key living combined with maximum use of common areas to enjoy much more than your owned square footage, ‘A’ali’i is an ideal second home (not to mention a primary home) for those who want to “live, work, and play in Kaka’ako.”

Here’s the latest from them on the thought process that went into the design — Ward Village Site.

Convenient!

So cool! I can’t wait to see the inside of A’eo. I love the pictures you took of the view.
