The Big Island town of Waimea (Kamuela) had a fairly good month in February for home sales. There were a total of ten homes sold for an average sales price of $322,900. This is double the five sales in January. The average sales price also increased in February.

The number of short sales and REO’s came in at 40% of the sales, or four sales in all. The subdivision of Lualai was the big winner of the month with a total of three sales, as buyers continue to like these new homes on the dry side of Waimea.
