This special financing is through the Fannie Mae HomePath program for qualifying homes and condos. There are three pet friendly condos in Waikloa Village currently available under this program—two Elima Lani condos and one Paniolo Club condo.
The HomePath program has low rates—around 4.5 % at this time—and allows for the down payment to be a gift, has a fast close time of about 30 days, and doesn’t require you to have perfect credit to quaifiy for the program. In the state of Hawaii, Wells Fargo is the provider of the HomePath. Not all condos qualify, however, so if you want to use the HomePath program, you need to make sure first that the condo you’re interested in is eligible.
Elima Lani condos allow two pets up to 15 pounds each. Paniolo Club allows pets with board approval so it is possible to have a larger sized animal at this complex. The two Elima Lani units are both 2 bed / 2 bath units with 854 sf of living space and a lanai. Both are ground floor condos and both are listed under $100,000. The Paniolo Club unit is also a 2 bed/ 2 bath unit, but is slightly larger at 993 square feet and is an upper floor unit with open beam ceilings. This condo is listed at $158,900.
