Waikiki Oceanfront Condo at the Colony Surf – A Gold Coast Condo Building with its Own Beach
Living on Oahu’s Gold Coast on the quiet end of Waikiki Beach, at the foot of Diamond Head, with the glittering blue Pacific Ocean on one side and the emerald green Kapiolani Park on the other, is the lifelong dream of many, and it is easy to see why.
This is the view from the living room of unit #1004 (MLS# 1208882) in the Colony Surf
Currently, there are 5 active listings at the Colony Surf, and they run the gamut from 1 bedroom/1 bath to a joined two unit condo that is a 1 bedroom/2 bath, to yet another joined unit that runs 1,789 square feet and provides 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. So there are many choices to make, no?
My Top Colony Surf Condo Pick
Well, my money is on corner unit #1004 (MLS# 1208882). Corner units are always at a premium not only view-wise, but also for the wonderful Trade Wind cross breezes that they can provide. This unit, brilliantly designed in sandy beach hues, with weathered, white-washed cabinets and neutral flooring, doesn’t even try to compete with the views.
Oahu’s Colony Surf
The Colony Surf, ltd is the tallest building on Oahu’s Gold Coast; the “L-shaped” building rises 19 stories (plus penthouse), and due to the fact that no building can now be built over three stories, apartments on the side of the building should never lose their views.
At $1,175,000 unit #1004 isn’t the cheapest unit for sale currently at the Colony Surf, but it is the only corner unit available other than the combined unit #1901/1902 (MLS# 1203384), listed at $2,450,000.
I’ll leave it to you to decide if it’s worth an extra $1,275,000; like I said, to live on the beach, on the Gold Coast with some of the most amazing views I have ever seen, well, my money is on #1004.
