Waikiki For Under $200,000

Do you enjoy the beach? Surfing? Sunset sails? Do waterside restaurants and designer stores sound appealing? Are you into nightlife? Sunlight? Fun? If a community with international flair and a local vibe is your thing, then maybe, so is Waikiki.

Condos in Waikiki Under $200K

Most people think of Waikiki as strictly a resort destination. A place to vacation. An escape from the real world. But, there are many people who call Waikiki home. People who love the ocean. The beach. The island lifestyle. And, for people who love Waikiki, there are lots of housing options available. Granted, most of the housing consists of condos and apartments, many of which are costly. But, there are several affordable options, too. Did you know that there are places to buy in Waikiki for under $200,000? That’s right. Currently, there are five fee simple units on the market for under $200,000! Let me tell you about a new listing that just hit the market — 234 Ohua #104 (MLS #202116565).

New to the Market

234 Ohua, #104 is a ground floor studio unit. It’s been completely renovated and is in great shape. The building is older, but it’s got the charm reminiscent of old Hawaii, plus it’s within blocks to the beach and everything that is Waikiki. It’s a great place to live if you like the simple life — no fuss, no frills, super chill and very, very convenient. For less than $200k, you might also want to consider buying this unit as an investment property. There are plenty of people employed in Waikiki who want to live, work, and play in the area. And, the University of Hawaii is close by, too. What student wouldn’t prefer a studio in Waikiki over a dorm room?

If you think buying property in Hawaii is out of your reach, think again. You don’t need deep pockets. Just a deep sense of appreciation for one of Hawaii’s most iconic neighborhoods. After all, there is no place like Waikiki.

Been checking Waikiki / Oahu condos on Redfin but considering I am broker here in San Diego – probably best for me to work with a broker there in Oahu!
Seeking Condo:
1. Price $150k to $300K
2. HOA’s under $400
3. Fee Simple
4. Flexible rental rules
5. Kitchen – Prefer 1 bedroom but realistically – a studio could work!
6. Possibly All cash but prefer to finance a portion
7. Good HOA cash-reserve
Thanks,
Ken
