I live at Kai Makani and I absolutely love living in this beachside community in North Kihei. This community combines the ease of condo living (I hate mowing the lawn!) and the great beach lifestyle. I can literally have my toes in the sand in less than 4 minutes!
A three bedroom unit recently came on the market that caught my eye. This unit is located in the back of the community, so a little bit farther from the ocean, which also means less noise from South Kihei Road. This unit was recently remodeled including a full kitchen remodel, complete with a new pantry area, new appliances, cabinets, and more. In addition, the sellers installed new hardwood floors. The whole remodel was tastefully done and really captures the essence of beach living.

What I also love about this unit is the privacy from the lanai. There’s nothing worse than trying to relax on your lanai and feeling like you’re on display for the whole neighborhood. The location couldn’t be better, as you’re sheltered by the lush landscaping and tucked away in a nice corner of the community. This particular unit has some nice tile work on the lanai as well, which makes it even better.
Why is This a Great Value?
If you’ve been watching the prices and inventory in Kai Makani, you’ll appreciate the value in this unit. Kai Makani 30-101 is currently priced at $615,000 or $496 per square foot. The least expensive 3 bedroom unit in Kai Makani is currently priced at $599,000 or $483 a square foot with no upgrades. You could easily spend more than $15,000 renovating a kitchen on Maui!
