Fun for the Whole Family on 4th of July Weekend in Upcountry Maui. Makawao Stampede is a 3-day event happening July 1-3 at Oskie Rice Arena located at 521 Olinda Rd. Makawao. You can expect delicious local food, bull riding, barrel racing & cowboy boots…
In the late 1800s, cattle ranching attracted Portuguese and Spanish cowboys to the island of Maui making Makawao a famous Paniolo Town. Rory Souza, owner of RS Bucking Bulls, will have 15 bulls that participate in the Rodeo. Rory said, “My family has been in the rodeo since I could ever remember. My dad had a bull named 666 and that’s where it all started. I wanted to be in the bull industry since I was a little boy watching them on tv.”
Some of the RS Bucking Bulls names are Hi Jack, Rack City, Born to Sin, Cowboy Coffee, Flammable, Joker, 6 Pack & Awalau.
Tickets can be purchased on eventbrite.com and parking is $5 cash only at the gate.

I see that tickets CAN be purched online, not tickets MUST be purchased online. Drove up there, waited in a mile of cars, paid for parking and couldnt get in because it was SOLD OUT?
