Rainbow Warriors Show Out For Kauai
The NCAA Division 1 Men’s Volleyball Team graced the Kauai High School gym this past weekend, offering students free instructional clinics Friday before displaying their Olympic-caliber athleticism during an inter-squad scrimmage Saturday night. And what a weekend it was! From playing ukulele for the patients at Wilcox hospital to honing the volleyball skills of more than 180 local Kauai students to flying high over the treetops of Kauai’s majestic North Shore the reigning Big West champion Rainbow Warriors brought hope, advice, and a bit of fun on their trip to Kauai.
More than 60 middle school students and 120 high school students were engaged in learning activities with the Rainbow Warrior players.

Over 100 autographs were signed for the local students and Warrior fans as deliberate role models to our youth.
Bringing together our Ohana to make their visit special was the fun part; however, let’s face it, it takes a village. I’m happy to report that the team was able to enjoy some downtime with a traditional lu’au in Kilauea on the North Shore and some Kauai favorite activities and sights.
An adrenaline-packed morning flying through the Kauai Jungle, the team enjoyed a zipline adventure at the Princeville Ranch.

The team posed in gratitude for the village that made this trip a reality.
Mahalo to Kauai for showing up and giving back to our growing keiki. Like I said, it takes a village. We look forward to supporting and cheering on this team of remarkable young men – Let’s go WARRIORS!
