Kamuela Strawberry Tasting Menu at the Mauna Kea Resort

Are you crazy for strawberries, but think they are a fruit only found on the mainland and not in Hawaii?

Strawberries FOUND! On the Big Island, these stawberries are grown right in Waimea (Kamuela) town. The great news is that they don’t have to travel very far to make it onto your plate in the resort areas. Does it get any better than fresh and organic??

The Coast Grill at the Hapuna Prince Hotel located in the Mauna Kea Resort is offering a season strawberry tasting menu, and boy does it look spectacular! It’s hard for me to pick just one dish on the above menu that sounds the best, what with field greens and fresh catch fish?

All I can say is I’d better load my husband in the car and head over from Puako Beach (a huge 5 minute drive) and check out this menu right away – before all the strawberries are eaten and gone!
