Spotlight on Kaety Enos Tsukamoto – An Island Girl Who Loves to Paddleboard & Snowboard

Born and raised on O’ahu, Kaety Enos Tsukamoto lived in both San Diego and Seattle over the past decade before returning to her island home in 2018. She currently lives in the beautiful Kalama Valley, just a short, 5-minute bike ride to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

“I love to spend time in the sun, sand, and ocean water! And although I live in a beautiful place called paradise — any chance I have to travel, I prefer traveling to a snowy, mountainous place to get my snowboard fix!” says Kaety.

She definitely got her fix of snowy mountains while living in Seattle, where Kaety first became a licensed realtor. In 2016, she pursued her real estate broker’s license in Washington State, where she focused on new project sales and custom homebuilding.

“I absolutely loved being part of a team that helped others create their DREAM home,” says Kaety of her early real estate career. She worked with a development firm that built homes with prices ranging from $2 to $14 million.

Armed with a degree in Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawai‘i, Kaety spent time in the tourism industry before embarking on her real estate career. “I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in real estate and truly believe my experience in hospitality has done nothing but help me succeed in real estate,” says Kaety.

Kaety loves “the constant opportunities to give back to the local community,” she finds at Hawai‘i Life. She says she owes a debt of gratitude to Princess Pauahi Bishop, who graciously left a legacy and allowed many to receive a great education. “I call myself beyond blessed that I was able to go to the University of Hawai‘i with scholarships Princess Pauahi left,” says Kaety.

“Treat others the way you would like to be treated” is the motto Kaety lives by, especially when it comes to working with other military families. Kaety is married to an active-duty Naval Officer who has been deployed twice to the Middle East in his almost six years in the military. Kaety’s firsthand experience gives her a unique understanding of the needs of military families making a “Permanent Change of Station” (PCS) move to and from Hawai‘i.

“Hawai‘i Life allows me to represent a culture I am native to and have always been proud of,” says Kaety. “I have always wanted to be a part of something bigger that encompasses the authentic Hawai‘i culture and everything it has to offer.

With a clientele comprised of many VA homebuyers and first-time homebuyers, Kaety works quite often in Central Oahu, close to where she grew up. “Living, working, playing in Hawaii Kai – I find myself specializing in East Oahu. But, I will work where my clients want to be,” says Kaety.

She and her husband are enjoying their time back in Hawaii. Since returning home, they see their families at least once a week and have gained a new niece, a new nephew and they’ve even added a fur baby (a labradoodle) to their own family. In their free time, they enjoy paddleboarding at Paikos, hiking, and eating at Pig & the Lady.

“Anyone who knows me knows family is everything to me. They encourage me to be the best possible version of myself,” says Kaety, who sees Hawai‘i Life’s culture as an extension of that. “The team at Hawai‘i Life treats each other like family, and my family is my inspiration.”

“I truly believe Hawai‘i real estate is one of the best investments one can make, and I don’t just mean financially. Investing in a place you can call your own is a remarkable feeling, and being able to help others achieve that is an even greater feeling.”
