Record Low Interest Rates and Inventory Bringing Kauai Home Buyers ‘Off the Fence’

Currently, in this part of the island of Kauai (the east side), there is a lack of inventory. It’s been a buyer’s market for so long and now, finally, after many years, things are looking up for sellers. The combination of few homes on the market and record low interest rates are bringing out the buyers that have been sitting on the sidelines just waiting.

If you are considering selling your home here on Kauai, this may be the time. The one thing to keep an eye on are the interest rates. The low rates are giving buyers lots of power to buy right now. These rates are making home ownership a reality for first time buyers as well as giving the investors an incentive.

If the rates go back up buyers will not be able to afford as much house…This could keep house prices from rising any further for a time, or worst case scenario, bring house prices back down a bit. Yikes! No seller or potential seller wants to hear that!

This report will include all the similar homes in the area that have sold, are for sale, and are in escrow. It will give you an idea of what homes are selling for and not just listing for.
