Waikoloa Village Sofa on the Hill Now a Tourist Attraction

So, there I was cruising down the road into Waikoloa, going to a home inspection, when I saw a car slow down and pull over by the sofa on the hill. “What’s this?” I think. So, as I zip by, I see the driver get out and pull out a camera set to go on a tripod.

Hmmm, looks like someone else has an appreciation for the sofa on the hill. Then, in my rear view mirror, I see…a bride get out of the passenger side dressed in her wedding gown! The inspection can wait! This I gotta find out about!

The beautiful bride awaits her portrait

Turns out he is a professional photographer that had a job on Maui last year. After seeing Hawaii last year, the couple knew this is where they wanted to go for their honeymoon. So, after getting married back home in Illinois, they came here for the honeymoon, and he’s been taking wedding pictures. While driving around, they saw the sofa and just knew they had to have a wedding portrait sitting on the sofa on the hill.

The perfect setting for a Hawaiian wedding photo

So, there you have it! Now, along with sunset beaches, palm trees, rainbows, and waterfalls for the standard Hawaiian romantic photo shoot you can add Waikoloa’s sofa on the hill! What’s next for this amazing sofa? Hmm…family portraits at Christmas?

I love the Big Island! Aloha.

Don’t you also love the amazing Wili wili trees on the roads of Waikoloa Village? Can’t help it that I’ve always been and always will be a tree hugger! The Waikoloa village Outdoor Circle did a great job with the one near the shopping center, too!

Simple, unique and wonderful story for a blog. And the couple looked as though this sofa was what they had always been waiting for. To capture that moment…good for you and them.
