Want to Get in the Game?
There is a simple process to “get in the game” here at The Parkways. The process calls for a fully refundable reservation price of $5,000. There are about 55 buyers lined up for these homes, but the possibility always exists where many end up not following through and then they receive their $5,000 back, making room for those who are next on the list. Most of the reasons for not following through are inability to obtain financing, they get nervous, etc.
The Parkways sales staff will begin calling people on the reservation list today. If you are next in line for a home, you tell them that you wish to proceed, and at that time you need to pay the first of three $10,000 deposits. The $5,000 reservation fee goes towards the first $10,000 deposit (so you need to pay the remaining $5,000). The next $10,000 deposit is when they pour the slab. In the event that the slab is poured when they call you, the first two deposits are due, totaling $20,000. That is what happened when we purchased our Makena model here at The Parkways. The third $10,000 deposit is due when the home is drywalled. The balance of the purchase price comes from cash down and/or mortgage proceeds.

Tips for Interested Buyers
In the meantime, if you are thinking of looking into the possibility of purchasing a new home at The Parkways, I would strongly suggest that you communicate with a lender in order to be pre-approved. The lender will be able to answer questions regarding the best approach specifically tailored for you. He will also be able to pre-approve you for your budget at no charge. These are the last homes in Phase 2. Now is the time for the best pricing for a brand new home on Maui. I would suggest meeting with a lender as soon as possible. Then you will know how to proceed.
