Residential Ridge Neighborhoods on Oahu’s Desirable South Shore – Waialae Iki

Most people would agree that Hawaii is a land of stunning beauty with warm water, clean air, and fragrant breezes. What many who are new to Hawaii have yet to experience is the amount of scenic diversity it offers.

Along the Southeast shore of Oahu there are dramatic ridges that run from mountain to sea, with magnificent views and cool breezes from higher elevations. From West to East: Waialae Iki, Hawaii Loa Ridge, Kamehame Ridge, and Mariners Ridge are all distinct ridge communities, each with its own characteristics that make them a wonderful choice for a home in paradise.

Waialae Iki Ridge

For today’s blog, I would like to focus on Waialae Iki Ridge. “Waialae Iki” is the first of 4 residential “ridge” neighborhoods on Oahu’s desirable Southeast shore I’ll be blogging about. It is a quiet, serene neighborhood with a little over 620 homes that offer unparalled panoramic views of Diamond Head, Kahala, and Hawaii Kai.

The sweeping views, cool breezes, 2-mile proximity to Kahala, and 15-minute drive to Honolulu lend to its value as one of Oahu’s premier luxury communities. Waialae Iki 5 is a gated community within Waialae Iki proper. It is at a higher elevation and has its own association, which boasts a resident-only private rec center and four tennis courts.

For additional association information, please visit the Waialae Iki 5 Community Association website, or the Waialae Iki Ridge Community Association website.

Amenities

Waialae Iki Ridge is a short distance from great dining experiences at “Hoku’s” and the “Plumeria Room” in the Kahala Hotel and Resort, shopping at the Kahala Mall and Aina Haina shopping centers, and world-class golf at the Waialae Country Club (home of the Sony Open).
