I’m Ready to Sell my Home, Now What?

When that time comes and you’re ready to sell your home there are a lot of factors to consider. What is my first step, who should I contact, how much can I sell my home for, etc. This is an emotional time with so many unknown questions but it doesn’t have to be.

Finding the Right Realtor

A realtor is the subject matter expert who can sell your home. Realtors understand the market, they live and breathe it daily, they can guide you with listing your house at the correct price which gives homeowners an advantage over listing the property themselves. A Realtor will be able to tell you how much homes are selling for, they’ll handle the legal paperwork, forms, disclosures, inspections and negotiate the best deal for you. You’ll want to find a Realtor who goes above and beyond to get your home sold. You’ll want to find a Realtor who listens to your concerns and provides updates throughout the entire process.

Presentation

What do buyers do when they start looking for a home? They go online and they search for homes for sale. The very first thing buyers are pictures of your house. If the photographs cannot grab the buyer’s attention within the first 3 seconds, they’ve already left and moved on to the next listing. Think about it, if you clicked through dark fuzzy pictures would you continue to look at the home? This is where a lot of sellers lose out on potential buyers. Professional photography is the key to making the first impression. Staging and photography come hand in hand with marketing your home in today’s market.
