How Long Will It Take To Sell Your Home?
Sellers, are you curious how long it will take to sell your home? The market climate will determine how quickly your home will sell. Hi, this is Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life. In a hot market where there is limited inventory, when there are more buyers than homes to purchase, you can sell your home in a day if the home is in a desirable area and priced at fair market value.
I do, however, recommend that you allow the home to have enough marketing time so that you can receive the most amount of offers with the best terms. If there are more homes on the market than buyers, then you can expect to wait a little longer for the home to sell. It’s important to look at the absorption rate when determining timing.
The absorption rate tells us if we are in a buyers market or seller’s market. Right now in Oahu, we’re somewhere in between the two, but we still need more inventory to meet the demands of our buyers.
