Puako Ala Kahakai Trail & Beach Clean-Up This Saturday

That’s why “Keep Puako Beautiful” and “Hawaii Wildlife Fund” will team up with Keep Hawaii Beautiful, Recycle Hawaii, Hawaii State Parks, and Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail to host a shoreline hiking clean-up in honor of National Trails Day.

Help Keep The Kohala Coast a Beautiful Place to Live and Visit

Organizers are still looking for volunteers to be on foot and in vehicles to pick up litter on the trail and connector roads, to document findings, load into transport vehicles, and dispose of opala (trash) at the Puako Transfer Station. A goal for this event is that volunteers will try to recycle as much trash as they can at the Puako Transfer Station.
