Oceanfront Penthouse at Hali’i Kai in the Waikoloa Beach Resort

Watch spear fisherman bring in their catches in the summer, whales breaching in the winter, and sunsets all year round

Sitting perched above the surf, Hali’i Kai 15F, priced at $2,000,000, provides one of those rare oceanfront views. This three bedroom, three bath penthouse has an open floor plan on its first floor that allows you to entertain guests comfortably from the living room, dining room, kitchen or lanai (MLS# 259048). No matter which of these rooms you are in, you and your guests will be able to enjoy the spectacular view.

Hali’i Kai Luxury Condo Opportunity

Hali’i Kai, a private gated community located in the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii, is the newest oceanfront condo community along the Kohala Coast. This mile long property starts from the ocean and extends inland along the signature 12th hole of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. Hali’i Kai’s long and narrow landscape offers many buildings with golf or garden views, a few buildings with golf and ocean views, and only 3 buildings with direct oceanfront views.

Since most visitors who come to Hawaii prefer to stay in an oceanfront property while here on vacation, Hali’i Kai is a very popular vacation rental location. This can be fantastic for those second home owners who are looking to recoup some of their investment cost through rental income, but it also means that the property requires a little more maintenance due to the wear and tear.

Adding additional appeal to Hali’i Kai 15F, is the fact that it has never been rented and has actually rarely been used by its owners. The furniture in 15F is included in the purchase price and looks as if it has never been used.

Private Owners Club at Hali’i Kai

In addition to the condo itself, Hali’i Kai also offers its owners access to its private Beach Club. An amenity center for all owners to enjoy, the Hali’i Kai Beach Club includes:

  • an open air pavilion with comfortable couches to relax in the Hawaiian warmth
  • lagoon style, salt water pool complete with aqua loungers
  • exercise pavilion
  • BBQ and picnic area
  • restaurant and bar

With true oceanfront units rarely available for sale, I predict this property will sell in the first 3 months of this year.

Leiola, thanks for the blog post. You and I have a great history with this listing and I would love it if you would find a buyer, especially as you predict, in the next three months.

As the saying goes, “there is only so much oceanfront” and when the market turns, the premium for location expands. The fact this is listed below the 2008 sales price screams “deal” to me! (Full disclosure…I am the listing agent so buyers should study the comps for themselves).
