ParkSide by Gentry is one of the newest communities on the West side of Oahu in Ewa Beach. While it has welcomed homeowners for a little less than 2 years now, Gentry continues to build more homes here. This is great news for homebuyers who weren’t lucky enough to “win” the lotteries they have held typically every other month, or for those buyers who are just starting their search.

So, if you are interested in purchasing one of these homes, it’s time to get your ducks in a row. No, you can’t just show up and put your name in the hat, even if you are a cash buyer.
How Can I Be Considered For the Lottery?
In order to be considered for the lottery, you will have to be pre-approved for the potential loan by a project-approved lender. Ultimately if you get selected, you may use any lender of your choice; however, the developer offers closing incentives if you use their in-house lender. You will also need to fill out their standard forms and if you are not able to be present for the lottery, you will need to assign someone to legally act on your behalf.
If you plan on attending the lottery, the first thing is to make sure you show up on time because if you are late, your name may be cut from the list. Now here’s the exciting part…if your name is pulled, you will be asked which Plan/Lot is your first, second, or third choice. You will want to have that decision made prior to the lottery date, since there will be a whole slew of people waiting for your selections. The more choices you are open to, the better your chances of getting a home.

ParkSide’s next lottery is on Saturday, March 5, 2016. In this release (Phase 20), 10 homes will be up for sale. These properties are 3 to 5 bedroom single-family homes, priced between $515,000 – $558,600. The projected move in date is in May 2016.
The ParkSide community is walking distance to Ewa Makai Middle School, and is conveniently located near the Laulani Village shopping center, which features Safeway, Petco, and our new Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers office, right above Buffalo Wild Wings.
