Need a Break From the Kitchen? Check Out These Take Out Options on the North Shore of Kauai

As a busy working Mom I find myself ordering a lot of take out, especially after a long work day. However, during the “Stay at Home Order,” I have cooked more meals for my family than I can count.

Recently I needed a break, and we went on the search for our first take out dinner in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised on all the options on the North Shore and we ended up choosing Thai food from Lotus Garden in Princeville Shopping Center.

The Shrimp Curry and Pad Thai hit the spot and my kids loved the Orange Chicken. More impressive was the amount of gratitude the owner and employees had for our order. They were so thankful for the business and we were so thankful for the treat of having the night off of cooking.

It was a great reminder of the little life luxuries we can often take for granted and a reminder to be thankful for the little things. That little gesture of showing gratitude for something as simple as ordering a meal will be etched in me for awhile.

It was also a reminder of how we can support some of our local economy by buying local as much as possible and supporting the small businesses and their employees in your community. Here are a few of the local restaurants that are open for take out.
