Morning Walks in Hawaii Kai

There are a lot of things to love about Hawaii Kai and lots of good reasons to live in this vibrant community. For starters, there are just so many fun things to do.

Outdoor Activities in Hawaii Kai

Do you love the beach? Are you a golfer? Do you love water sports? How about hang-gliding or parasailing? Hawaii Kai has just about everything for the outdoor enthusiast — surfing, kayaking, sailing, scuba diving,  jet skiing, hiking, golfing, and more.

One of my favorite things to do in Hawaii Kai, though, is simply walking. Granted, walking is a lot tamer than hang-gliding off a mountain or surfing a big set, but it is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. And, walking in this special neighborhood is a great way to fill and refresh your soul. The sheer beauty of this place awakens your senses and renews your energy.

Walking in Hawaii Kai

I love walking in Hawaii Kai, especially in the morning. My morning walks never get old and I never tire of looking at the beauty that surrounds me. Gazing at the sun as it comes up over the horizon, looking at the striking blue hues of the ocean, smelling the sweet aroma of plumeria, or simply spending time with my husband as we walk in the sand,  fills my heart with gratitude.

I’m grateful for this special community I call home and I’m grateful for the ability to walk. Walking allows me time to reflect and to give thanks. Walking revives and replenishes me and fills me with a deep appreciation for this place.

Elizabeth Browning said that the earth is crammed with heaven. She’s right. Certainly, this place is crammed with heaven. You just need to see it. And, one of the best ways to see it is when you walk. With.Heart.Wide.Open.
