Maui Weekend Events – October 27

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui brings you lots of great options including Halloween fun, the continuation of Festivals in Aloha in Wailea, improv at ProArts Playhouse and the last weekend of Rocky Horror Show at the Historic Iao Theater. MIL Football games this Friday and Saturday nights. Also on deck is Kihei 4th Friday Town Party.

Maui Ocean Center Fins and Frights

Maui Ocean Center is hosting a Fins and Frights Night Event this Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm with last entry being at 8:00 pm. The Halloween celebration will feature in-park trick-or-treating, activity stations, costume parade and contest. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for keiki. Adult beverages and food offered at the Reef Café.

Keiki Halloween at the Shops at Wailea

The annual Keiki Halloween returns to The Shops at Wailea this Sunday. The event includes trick-or-treating, a balloon artist and a costume contest with prizes including airfare to anywhere in the U.S. and more. Registration between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. Costume contest from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Trick-or-treating, balloon animals and selfies with Spiderman and Moana from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Pre-register here.

Halloween Party at Tsunami

Did you know Tsunami was back? For some more adult themed fun, head to the Grand Wailea to dance the night away at Tsunami. Doors open at 8:00 pm and close at 1:00 am. Tickets available at fareharbor for $50. All profits benefit our Maui community and the Maui Strong Fund.

Wailea Festivals of Aloha

The Festival of Aloha continues this weekend in Wailea at the Four Seasons. Kumu Cody Pueo Pata leads the opening ceremony Friday at 10:00 am in the lobby. Live Aloha vendors and Artisans will be available in the Lobby Lounge from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday. Showcased will be traditional rock candle and bamboo printing demonstrations, lauhala weaving and lei hula presentations. Koa Canoe Presentation on Saturday outside of Salon A. Saturday night feature is Hula is the Heartbeat showcasing four of Maui’s most prestigious Hālau from 6:30 – 8:30 pm with doors opening at 5:00 pm. The festival closes on Sunday with Sounds of the Sea, a free evening of Hawaiian music on the Oceanfront lawn starting at 5:00 pm.

ProArts Playhouse Maui

ProArts Playhouse brings the improv weekend.  Saturday night features Free Range Comedy. This is an improv troupe specializing in short form improvisation a la “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” Show starts at 7:30 and seating at 7:00 pm. More improv on Sunday with Maui Improv Monthly Showcase featuring Amey Goerlich. Amey directed or coached 500+ improv/sketch groups and off-Broadway productions. She’s performed in many TV and film productions. Show starts at 7:00 with doors opening at 6:30 pm.

The Rocky Horror Show at The Historic Iao Theater

The Rocky Horror Show is back at the Historic Iao Theater. The show celebrates its 50thanniversary this year. The show runs through October. Showtimes every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Halloween night. Showtimes are 7:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays and Halloween night and 3:00 pm on Sundays.

MIL Sports

It is the final week of the MIL football season. Friday’s game is King Kekaulike at KS-Maui. Saturday’s game is Lahainaluna v Maui High at War Memorial. Game start is 7:00 pm for both games.

Cross Country Championships will be held this Saturday morning from 8:00 – 9:00 am at Maui High.

Kihei 4th Friday Town Party

Kihei 4th Friday town party takes place on the fourth Friday of every month. This is such a fun event for the family with over 20 food truck vendors and plenty of local retail vendors. There is also a keiki zone with face painting, balloon twisting, hula hoops, bubbles and quick science. Fun event to gather with community.
