Maui Weekend Events – October 20

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui brings you lots of great art and culture options and of course MIL and 8 Man Football games. Hana Festivals of Aloha kicks off this Saturday morning and continues through next week. ProArts Playhouse Maui delivers a great lineup this weekend with a show every day. Observe & Play Family Day is hosted by the MACC is this Saturday morning. Rocky Horror Show continues through Halloween night at the Historic Iao Theater. MIL Football games this Friday and Saturday nights and 8 Man Saturday morning.

ProArts Playhouse Maui

ProArts Playhouse has a great lineup for this weekend. Friday night, Tempa & Naor deliver a dose of music medicine in their Music Medicine Series. Show starts at 7:30 pm and features Bottom of the Barrel Blues with special guest Jimmy Dillon. Saturday night, Cabaret and Cocktails present the Lost Spirit of Burlesque. This is an 18 and over show with mature content. There will be two showings, one at 7:00 pm and one at 9:00 pm. And lastly on Sunday, ProArts Maui partners with Hawaii Jazz, Mana’o Radio, and the Maui Jazz and Blues Festival to present Hawaii Jazz at 5:00 pm.

Observe & Play Family Day at the MACC

This Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the MACC is hosting Observe and Play Family Day. This is a free event for the community. Families are invited to come witness the installations of two exhibiting artists, Chentra Laury and Holly Wong. Several interactive maker stations will be available outside the gallery for families to create art to take home with them.

Hana Festivals of Aloha

The Hana Festival of Aloha kicks off this weekend and continues through the week closing out next Saturday night with Hoike Night at Hana Bay. The Festival opens this Saturday, October 21st with the Parade at 11:00 am and Hoolaulea from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Saturday night features Sports Night at Hana Ballpark beginning at 5:00 pm.  Sunday morning is the Fishing Contest at Hana Bay starting at 7:00 am and Play Day in the afternoon from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. Activities continue through next week so be sure to check the link for more.

The Rocky Horror Show at The Historic Iao Theater

The Rocky Horror Show is back at the Historic Iao Theater. The show celebrates its 50thanniversary this year. The show runs through October. Showtimes every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Halloween night. Showtimes are 7:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays and Halloween night and 3:00 pm on Sundays.

MIL Sports

It is week 8 of the MIL football season. Friday’s game is King Kekaulike v Maui High at War Memorial. Saturday’s game is Baldwin v Lahainaluna at Lahaina. Game start is 7:00 pm for both games.

For 8-Man Football, the final game of the season is Lanai at Molokai this Saturday morning. Game start is 11:00 am.
