Maui Weekend Events – August 4

Aloha friends! The much-anticipated Regatta State Race this weekend takes off from Hilo Bay on Big Island. Meanwhile on Maui, the Lahaina Rotary Club celebrates its 58th Anniversary with a charity ball. If you’re wanting to keep the party going after the gala, head to Mala Tavern for late night dining and cocktails. Mala Tavern turns up the heat on it’s Mala til Midnight this Saturday night with a special Ladies’ Night. Ongoing for most of this month is the Hui No’eau Youth Art Exhibition.

Regatta Season ends this weekend with State Championships. Saturday’s Championship Race is hosted by Moku ‘O Hawaii and takes off from Hilo Bay on Big Island.  Check in and canoe weigh-ins on Friday. Opening ceremony starts at 7:00 am Saturday morning. Lane sheet already available. Check out HCRA Paddler for more.

Ladies Night at Mala Tavern

Mala Tavern brought home 4 wins in this year’s edition of Best of Maui. They won in Best Brunch, Best Restaurant, Best Server, and Best Butcher. Their late-night dining has always been among the best on Maui. Their cocktails are also top tier. Mala Tavern hosts Mala til Midnight every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am.

In addition to that, this weekend and every first Saturday of the month, Mala hosts Ladies Night. Features include $7 Rose and Sparkling Rose.

Hui No’eau Youth Art Exhibition 2023

Hui No’eau is featuring through most of the month the Youth Art Exhibition. This exhibit features the work of 250+ keiki participating in the Hui’s Art Summer Program. The exhibit opened last weekend and will run through August 25th. This is a great opportunity to support our keiki and community.

Lahaina Rotary Club 58th Anniversary and Officers Installation

The Lahaina Rotary Club is celebrating its 58th Anniversary this Saturday at the Lahaina Jodo Mission. Festivities include dinner, auction and live music. Event starts with a BYOB sunset cocktail hour at 5:30. Tickets are $100 and you can reserve a table of 10 for $900. Corporate sponsor tables available for $1750.
