Maui Weekend Events – April 14

Aloha friends! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend and got to charge up with some time with your family and loved ones. This upcoming weekend has some fun in store for you too. To start, we have an opportunity to honor our ancestors this Sunday at the Ching Ming Festival in Kula. Additionally, Maui Humane Society is teaming up with Down the Hatch in Lahaina to offer a mobile adoption and donation event Saturday afternoon. America is playing at the MACC this Friday night. And finally, Mala ‘til Midnight delivers late night dining and cocktails this Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

America is playing the MACC’s Castle Theater this Friday night. Show starts at 7:30 pm and doors open at 5:30 pm.  America debuted in the ’70s and delivered 6 albums all of which went gold or platinum. They have many hits you could probably sing along to even if you don’t think you know their music.

Maui Humane Society Mobile Adoption and Donation Event

Down the Hatch is teaming up with Maui Humane Society to host its very first mobile adoption and donation event.  This Saturday afternoon from 2 – 5 pm, visit with animals available for adoption while enjoying happy hour and live music!  You may just fall in love and take home a new member of the family.

Ching Ming Festival

The Kwock Hing Society is hosting the Ching Ming Festival this year at the Fook On Tong Cemetery in Kula.  Activities include tomb sweeping and offerings the ancestors. Event takes place this Sunday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Mala ‘Til Midnight

For late night dining and entertainment, Mala Tavern presents Mala ’til Midnight.  Mala ‘til Midnight offers a special late-night menu on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am.  Saturday is also Ladies’ Night.   ‘Aipono Award winner for best late-night dining 2022 will not disappoint. The menu has a lot of unique and tasty items as well as arguably the best burger on Maui. Do not skip the Oyster shooters!  The menu also features several delicious craft cocktails worth trying for yourself.
