4 Favorite Maui Meadows Homes for Sale – An Affordable Alternative to Wailea
Compared to the overpriced condos in Wailea, the neighboring community of Maui Meadows offers some spectacular properties for under $1 million.
I live in Maui Meadows, just outside of Wailea, but still in the Kihei area. I am literally across the street from Wailea, however, I pay no association dues and I do not have strict association requirements.
All of the lots in Maui Meadows are at least 1/2 of an acre and some are larger. So I wondered, “What could be had in this beautiful neighborhood for under a mil?” I found some interesting stuff…some junk too…but some good stuff. Two with pools and one in my favorite style of architecture….the pole house. I’ve listed my top 4 picks here. The criteria were: good value, ample square footage, view, and condition of the property. Enjoy!
404 Hoala Street (MLS# 340327) 3 bed / 3 bath listed at $712,000
631 Kumulani Drive (MLS# 342276) 2 bed / 2 bath with a 1 bed / 1 bath ohana listed at $899,000
3185 Hoomua Drive (MLS# 338797) 3 bed / 3 bath with 2 bed / 1 bath ohana and pool listed at $957,357
645 Laniolu Place (MLS# 341096) 3 bed / 3 bath with studio ohana and Pool listed at $975,000
I’ve heard some people call my neighborhood “eclectic.” That’s perfect for me since I consider myself to be “eclectic.” The community was developed in the early 70’s and, at the time, was considered to be the “Beverly Hills” of Kihei. It’s located a bit higher than Kihei, however, so at night the cool air from upcountry envelopes us all.
From up here, the views can be spectacular. The higher up you go, the more you see… Maui’s neighboring islands, in fact!
In conclusion, while a condo may be perfect for one buyer, there may be more value in a single family home for another buyer. For additional information on these or any listings in the Maui Meadows area, contact me.
