In Hawaii Kai, there are 13 miles of waterfront properties lined with rock walls on the Hawaii Kai marina.
There are 1096 single family homes directly on the marina. I am fortunate to own and live in one of them.
We enjoy every moment of living on the marina. We boat to Costco, Safeway, coffee, and dinner. When it is hot, and we want to cool down, we motor out to Maunalua Bay and jump in the ocean.
If it is really hot, we might boat over to Koko Marina Shopping Center and take in a movie in air-conditioned comfort.
I have to say that nothing is more fun, safe, and great exercise than stand up paddling on the marina. We may not have waves, but we have tradewinds that make paddling challenging and refreshing. Take yourself, your kids, your grandkids, or your pets for an exhilarating ride!
