Secluded 6.4-Acre Anini Bluff Estate with Unparalleled Panoramic Ocean Views

Mahina and I recently had the pleasure of visiting this secluded ocean bluff home. Kai O Pua rests at the most prime Anini location. We were delighted to find that never have we seen a house on Kauai with more expansive ocean views. This is a one-of-a-kind 6.4-acre Anini bluff estate. Kai O Pua is a private compound with the best ocean views on Kauai.

Noteworthy Features

Not a rooftop in sight from this property, you are in complete serenity. Located perched above one of Kauai’s best swimming beaches, yet the owner has complete seclusion. Enjoy year-round paddle boarding, kayaking, kite surfing, snorkeling, free diving, and boating. This is the epitome of Kauai living.

Views

The views speak for themselves. No words can describe. Full coastal views from Kilauea Point down to Bali Hai, with Anini Beach Reef and Secret Beach in between. Sit in the lap of luxury. Walls of glass walls open to a verandah overlooking a bluff top, ocean view pool/sauna with resort-style areas that are perfect for lavish entertaining or just relaxing.

Great Pacific room with glass

This private estate truly encompasses the essence of indoor/outdoor living in Hawaii. Designed by internationally renowned architect Don Goo and built by Walter Balcom, came this exquisite and quality-crafted home. Many details in the décor, such as coral stone pillars and elaborate high vaulted ceilings, were all designed by the architect with the Hyatt in mind. With unparalleled privacy and quality, this home features unobstructed ocean views from every room.

Great Room

A warm and inviting home with high-end interior designing done by Philpotts. Move right in. The beautiful travertine floors pictured are from Turkey.

Media room and library

The media room and bedrooms feature fine walnut floors. This quality crafted home also showcases Monkeypod, Afromosia, and super curly Koa woods.

Great Pacific Room

The countertops and outside shower were made from one large monkey pod tree on island. The tree came from Kapahi (East Kauai) and was then milled and crafted. It took 10 men to carry in the finished product for assembly.

Outside Shower

This outdoor shower, made of Monkeypod, is 1 of 3 outdoor showers

Front of house

The special tile roofing came from Japan as did the mother of pearl featured in the master suite

Custom-Made Pool

A team from Disney was here with the head Disney architect to design the pool. Mueller Custom Pools brought the Disney architects’ creation to life. Look closely for the subtle creatures hidden within.

Pool and views

This stunning property is definitely luxury and privacy at its finest. Thank you to Hawaii Life Realtor Tom Austin for allowing us to tour his fine offering.
