The local residents are found surfing and bodyboarding at Brennecke’s and Poipu Beach. Our golf selections in the area are excellent as Poipu Bay is one of the finest in the islands. Kiahuna Golf Club, located near poipu shopping center, is also a favorite. Kukui’ula is a private Golf Club which also has selected tee times for our local community by a weekly lottery. Kukui’ula is one of the top golf course in the U.S.
If you like marine life the scuba diving and snorkeling at Koloa landing is a wonderful choice for viewing Honu (turtles) and tropical fish. Hiking areas of the south shore take you along coastal areas with whale watching and distant ocean activities. Stand Up Paddling is a very popular sport here in Poipu as well as paddling in kayaks and one man canoes.
Excellent Shopping & Dining
Shopping and dining at Kukui’ula is full of delectable selections of seafood, sushi, local fish, and served from open air and sunsets views.
I love the weekly farmers’ market there on Wednesdays where the shops and restaurants take part. Our newest Hawaii Life office is located in the Kukui’ula Shopping Center. Please stop by and visit us across from Living Foods when we open at the end of September.
